A High-Tech Document Producer’s Critical Challenge
Lanvera is a leading document outsourcing company specializing in processing invoices, statements, billing, collections, tax documents, and other business-critical documents—all delivered online and via print and mail. When success brought rapid growth, Lanvera faced two pressing needs: physical expansion to a larger office and a robust business continuity plan to match their expanding client commitments.
“We needed a seamless relocation because our client services must stay up 24/7, without exception,” explains IT Director Brian Camp. “Our clients rely on us for time-sensitive and business-critical billing, legal disclosures and tax documentation. So we turned to our long-term technology partner, GXA Network Solutions, to plan, facilitate and assist with the move.”
Business Continuity First
As Lanvera’s client list grew, they realized it was time to re-evaluate and upgrade their BCDR strategy. GXA not only developed a new, robust BCDR plan but worked it in tandem with the office relocation to make the move even easier:
- Planning: GXA worked with their IT staff to develop a comprehensive BCDR and failover plan
- Setup: A Hybrid Cloud/Private Cloud was created to function as the Disaster Recovery site
- Failover: GXA failed over key services to the DR site while the datacenter was relocated
- Implementation: GXA worked with vendors to successfully move the datacenter with minimal disruption
- Restoration: Services were restored to the new datacenter from the DR site
A Move That Improved Everything
GXA approached the relocation with the understanding that IT should operate as an engine to drive better business performance. The business benefits were substantial:
- Minimal disruption thanks to a painstakingly orchestrated flow
- Increased productivity by upgrading Lanvera’s IT infrastructure and network
- Future-proofing and scalability through technology designed to grow with the company
The new infrastructure included a Cisco Switching and Routing environment with an upgraded wireless network, enabling staff across the office to work seamlessly.
Ongoing Partnership
GXA continues to provide post-move support, ongoing network monitoring, and security services to detect and resolve any network issues immediately. Like its client, GXA created a customized solution that put Lanvera’s needs first, with equal weighting dedicated to both business goals and logistical details.
