George Makaye

President & CEO, Co-Founder

George Makaye is a CISSP-certified cybersecurity leader and co-founder of GXA. For more than two decades, he's helped growing businesses use technology, security, and strategy to drive performance.

As President & CEO, George sets the vision for GXA's IT, security, and AI programs—innovating how growing organizations get true technology leadership and a clear path to scale safely.

George is also deeply committed to conscious capitalism, using GXA's success to fund GXA Cares philanthropic initiatives that support communities locally and around the world.

Dr. Alicia Makaye, Co-Founder of GXA

Dr. Alicia Makaye, Ph.D.

Co-Founder & Chief Outreach Officer

Dr. Alicia Makaye is a U.S. Air Force veteran, co-founder, and Chief Outreach Officer of GXA. She holds a Ph.D. in Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Dallas and is a Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses alumna and Dallas Business Journal Minority Business Leader honoree.

As Chief Outreach Officer, Alicia helps shape GXA's culture, brand, and community presence as the company serves growing businesses across Texas.

Alicia also leads GXA Cares, ensuring GXA's success fuels philanthropic initiatives that support education, technology access, clean water, and healthcare for communities locally and around the world.

Robert Miles, VP of Service Delivery

Robert Miles

VP of Service Delivery

Robert serves as Vice President of Service Delivery at GXA, responsible for ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery while aligning operational execution with client business objectives. With extensive experience in managed services and IT operations, he focuses on building scalable processes, driving accountability, and leading teams that deliver reliable, secure technology solutions.

A veteran of the United States military, Robert brings a disciplined, mission-focused leadership style shaped by his service. His background instilled a strong emphasis on integrity, teamwork, and operational excellence. He is dedicated to developing people, improving service outcomes, and fostering continuous improvement.

Cory Buls, Chief Information Officer

Chief Information Officer (CIO)

Cory is a seasoned technology leader with over 15 years of experience in IT leadership, managed services, and digital transformation. As GXA's Lead vCIO, he partners with clients to align IT initiatives with business goals—driving scalability, operational efficiency, and innovation.

Cory leads executive-level strategy across IT roadmapping, cloud adoption, cybersecurity, AI, and governance. Known for his pragmatic, ROI-driven approach, he bridges the gap between technical execution and executive vision.

Calvin Fuller, Virtual Chief Information Security Officer

Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO)

Calvin serves as a virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO), specializing in building resilient, business-aligned cybersecurity programs. A CISSP-certified security leader, he brings a strategic yet practical approach to helping organizations strengthen their security posture and reduce risk.

Calvin is passionate about client success and is known for translating complex cybersecurity challenges into clear, actionable guidance. He partners closely with leadership teams to align security initiatives with business goals, drive maturity, and ensure organizations can grow with confidence.

Rick Martinez, Director of Service Operations

Rick Martinez

Director of Service Operations

Rick is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran with over 20 years of experience in information technology and service leadership. He served 11 years in the Marine Corps as a Signals Intelligence Specialist, supporting secure communications and mission-critical systems.

At GXA, Rick focuses on operational execution across service delivery teams, ensuring consistent, reliable, and secure technology outcomes for clients through disciplined operations and continuous improvement.

Micheal Kennard, Virtual InfoSec Manager

Micheal Kennard

Virtual InfoSec Manager (vISM)

Micheal is a seasoned IT professional with over 13 years of experience, including a decade in the Managed Services space. As a vISM at GXA, he plays a critical role in leading and maturing client cybersecurity programs in close collaboration with our vCISO.

He brings a strong technical foundation in infrastructure, cloud, and security, paired with a strategic mindset focused on risk mitigation and compliance alignment. His credentials include Microsoft certifications in Cybersecurity Architecture, M365 Administration, and Identity & Access.

Ben Carter, Lead Virtual IT Manager

Ben Carter

Lead Virtual IT Manager (vITM)

Ben serves as GXA's Lead Virtual IT Manager, bringing over 10 years of hands-on experience in the Managed Services space. His background spans everything from frontline support to leading IT projects and strategic planning—giving him a full-spectrum view of IT operations.

Ben works closely with clients—often onsite—to identify root causes of recurring issues, streamline support processes, and implement solutions that improve efficiency. He holds certifications including Microsoft Teams Administrator, Ruckus Certified Network Implementer, and WatchGuard Network Essentials.
